Why Online Shopping??

High Street shopping is the old traditional and well-known way of how people buy their Items, while Internet shopping came into people’s life during a period of technological advancements.

Online shopping is making things much easier in terms of time. The only thing you have to do is going to the internet page, choose the product you want and buy it. After that you have to wait less than four days and whatever you bought it is infront of your door. To go shopping online is very important for some people becouse you can buy food as well as things you need in the household and if you are not able to go out any more for any reason. You have got everthing you need on the internet shop. Another good opportunity in online shopping is you are able to compare prices much easier.

The weakness of online shopping is that you have to be really carefull in choosing the site you want to buy the things you need. Some sites just want  youre money and won't give you anything . Another bis problem is the quality of the things you get. If you order food for example and you get old or bad one you are able to send it back but you ain't got anything for that. Online shopping is always quite tricky, you have to look at the prices and compare them to the other sites to be sure you are not paying way to much for the goods you want.
Google
The internet is one  the biggest fastest forms of communication we use in this world. It's used to connect people to one another from any point on the earth. The internet also consist of a large number of search engine. Each search engine can look up and find about anything you are looking for. One of the biggest search engines today is google. Google is a play on the word googol.

Google is a global technology leader, focused on improving the ways people connect with information. Through innovations in web search and advertising, Google is now a top Internet destination and possesses one of the most recognized brands in the world. Available to anyone with an Internet connection, Google maintains the world's largest online index of web sites and other content.
In overview Google’s mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Since its creation in 1995, Google has since evolved not only into the world’s largest Internet search engine, but is also one of the Internets largest advertisers.

Google Apps for Education can help streamline academic tasks like essay writing and class scheduling. A group of students can work together on a piece of work in Google Docs, seeing changes in real time rather than waiting for versions to be sent via email. Students can see exactly when their professors are available and vice versa with Google Calendar. By removing these time-consuming bottlenecks, Apps frees you up to spend more time on learning and teaching.
SMS Language Effect!!!

destryng = Destroying, Nite= Night, U=you
A new dictionary is being by SMS language. The words stated above and their correct forms tell us the story. SMS these days has become very easy and cheap way of sharing thoughts or conveying some message.

A person sends a text message

We should think about this seriously. Supposing a hypothetical situation, you have got degree. And now you start sending resumes to company, or rather a covering letter with that Resume. And you use “I m a grad from XYZ college” instead of “I am a graduate from XYZ college“. The recruiter after reading your resume will throw it in trash bin and will not think of having a second look at it. And thus even being a capable, talented and most deserving candidate for the job will not get an offer letter. And this, only because of SMS language habit.

I am not saying don’t use SMS language. Of course the abbreviations reduce the letter count in SMS and thus you can add up some extra message too with the same economy. But that should be limited to SMS only. You should make some deliberate efforts so that you don’t use the SMS grammar in other forms of letter writing or texting.

Using both the types effectively is a good thing. But often things happen unknowingly and the differentiating line between these two types is very blur. So be cautious.

Technology makes Difference!!!

Although many people blame technology for destroying nature and causing pollution, and say that it is the worst evil in the world , I still believe that it has greatly changed our lives for the better as we hardly imagine what would happen if we went for a day without technology.

Technology is very popular in our daily life thanks to its advantages. As we know, firstly, technology in household helps people do the housework. For example, housewives do not need to wash manually, but they can use washing machine.

Another reason why I advocate the viewpoint that technology has made the world a better place to live is that it makes the world smaller. Nowadays people can travel faster and easier to other places by car, bus and air-plane, and see many new interesting things around the world. In addition, they communicate with people in different countries through the Internet and phones, which saves them lots of time and money.

But the most worthwhile benefit technology has brought to us is that it makes us healthier and happier. Clear progress in medicine, use new technologies to diagnose and combat diseases make therapy more effective. It allows us to cure serious diseases such as cancer and cardiopathy. Statistics show that life expectancy is getting longer. In Europe, for example, today life expectancy has climbed past 80 and people are glad to be alive; the longer they live in good health, the happier they feel they are.
Smartphones Effect
Today, smartphones are in the hands of almost every student. It has become so common that young children are starting to ask their parents for one. Although nobody can deny the ability to find and use information fast on a smartphone, many people feel students should not have one. These smartphones are effecting verbal communication, writing skills, as well as increasing laziness in our students.

Verbal communication is increasingly becoming a problem in today’s society and it is because of smartphones. Our generation is known as the “texting generation”. These days, students talk to their friends using text messages or calling. This takes away our ability to talk to someone face to face. It affects college graduates not being confident enough to present themselves properly in an interview with a future employer. Texting interaction leaves out basic skills like, clear speaking, body language, eye contact with the person to whom they are speaking too, and the ability to listen and stay focused on what the person is saying.

More and more these days students go to their phones or computers when needing to write an essay. Students search Google and various other search engines to help find the most up to date information, although the information is handy and very tempting, it is creating pure laziness in todays society. These smartphones contain encyclopedias, dictionaries and as we all know, the internet. There is no exerted effort into collecting this information, students are too lazy to read a book and quite frankly, some just don’t have time. Also, students are being distracted by cellphones. It is causing lack of focus and discipline. Often times students will sit down to study and all of the sudden hear their phone go off, and they’ll get self-indulged into the conversation and no longer continue to study.
GULZAR’s Beauty of Words
Through his illustrious career, lyricist Gulzar has managed to connect with his audience, through songs like Tum Aa Gaye Ho and Dhan tan nan
Gulzar has had an illustrious career graph and his current phase is one of his best. By blending contemporary lyrics with trendsetting music for Dhan tan nan in Kaminey, Gulzar has raised the bar for music in the Hindi film industry. It is interesting to trace the lyricist's career, from his initial foray with SD Burman to his iconic partnership with AR Rahman and now, a pursuit to be accessible to the youth.
The second distinct phase was when Gulzar came into his own with movies like Mausam, Kinara, Khushboo and Ijaazat. Gulzar kept the inspiration to write good poetry going for movies when all around him music and good lyrics in general were at an all time low. The mid '70s and '80s would be the nadir of our film music, yet Gulzar did not fail to illuminate it with songs like Tum aa gaye ho and Noor aa gaya hai.
After a short lull, a partnership with AR Rahman's innovative sound and melodies on Dil Se ...became the perfect foil for Gulzar's earthy and Sufi poetry. Dil Se ... marked the third phase and his second unbeaten innings. The creativity of the pair would fetch an Oscar ten years later.
Music in the new millennium has changed and with it changed the grammar of song-writing. The typical Mukhda-interlude-Antra phase is slowly dying. Different genres, bold arrangements and even bolder instrumentalism have emerged. One would think a purist like Gulzar, like his peers Sahir and Shailendra, would throw in the towel and fade into oblivion. Instead he wrote Kajra re and Beedi Jalai Le. Both are high-energy songs which rely on rhythm over melody and cater to the masses. Yet lyrically both the songs manage to rise above mediocrity. The tracks have an aesthetic vocabulary with lyrics like Baton me kimam ki khushboo and Aisa kaate ke daant ka nishaan chhod de.

Gulzar has managed to straddle two generations of songwriting with ease. Gulzar can turn a sweet feeling of love on its head with the raunchy Namak Ishq ka, can urge the beloved to wake in the Lori Jag ja and can talk about deceit in Naina thag lenge. All these songs along with Beedi ... were part of one soundtrack! Only Gulzar can make a derogatory word like 'kaminey' seem alluring when he writes, Ek dil se dosti thi, yeh huzoor bhi kaminey.

Do the saas-bahu serials depict Indian reality?

Kahani ghar ghar ki, Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi, Kumkum, Saat phere - the list is endless. The age-old saga of a daughter-in-law finding acceptance in her new family after marriage. Her unflinching resolve to solve each and every real and imaginary problem of her husband’s entire clan. Her stoic resistance to worldly pleasures and temptations. And all the scheming, vampish obstacles in her path in the form of interfering sisters-in-law, fiendish ex-girlfriends and the all-important mother-in-law. Add to that a propensity to garish sets, pancake make-up at all hours of the day and a jamboree of all festivals. One really wonders which world these people inhabit.

It all started with the success story of Ekta Kapoor’s K serials. The formula was quickly adopted by all and sundry. The same convoluted stories, with interwoven subplots and situations. You’ve seen one and you have seen them all! Yet, rarely, do you get to see such characters in real life. The concepts may have been inspired from common situations in Indian households but they are exaggerated to such an extent that they look far-fetched and irritating. Over the years India has moved on. It is so rare to see entire joint families with over 30 members thrive under one roof. Time has proved that such arrangements are not very feasible. Yet, our serials continue to highlight these deranged joint families, where relatives are scheming to literally kill each other behind the garb of superficial closeness.

If an actor decides to leave a particular serial, he is conveniently killed in an accident. But his dead body is never found just in case he needs to be revived after a few episodes (read if he/she agrees to a reasonable enough pay package). Or the character is simply replaced with a new actor justifying the change as a miracle of plastic surgery. Tell me of such a thing happening in your immediate surroundings and I’ll teach you how to name serials that sell!

Why can’t we have something refreshingly realistic such as a Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond or even Friends for that matter? Why must we get to see nauseating saas-bahu serials day and night? If the average Indian does not relate to them anymore, one wonders how the NRIs suffer them. Is it just a way of catching up the latest sari trends in India or telling your children what Diwali, Dussehra and Holi are all about?

 Advertising good or bad???

Advertising is a business of making money by introducing and encouraging people to buy new products or use services. Whether it is good or bad depends on the aims of manufacturers.

In the first place, advertising is good because it tells us about new products. We cannot go shopping everyday so we watch television, read newspaper to have information about new products. In this case, advertising is helpful because both buyers and sellers have benefits. Buyers can enjoy the products and sellers have money.

Moreover, advertising is interesting. It attracts not only adults but also children. For example, in the advertisement of milk, there are both imagines and music. The imagine of milking cows singing the song “so happy together” impresses many people. Children have fun and insist their parents to buy this kind of milk. So why don’t we think advertising is one kind of entertainment?

In the second place, some people find they are being cheated when advertising urges them to buy things they really do not need. With modern technique, there are many counterfeit products and bad products. For example, the advertising of soft drink urges us to buy it. But when we drink, contrary to the advertisement, it have no effect or may harm our health. So before buying a product we should consider whether it is good or bad.

To sum up, advertising has both advantages and disadvantages. But it is growing very fast in contemporary society. Advertising promotes a product or service. Also it encourages economy to develop. We could say it is a necessary liar in our lives.
Newspaper or Television
The media in today’s society plays a very important role. There are two different kinds of media, written and non-written. Written media consists of newspapers and magazines. Non-written media consists of television and radio. These media’s differ in many ways. I am going to compare and contrast the two different types of media in today’s society.

Newspapers, which are a form of written media, come out daily. They inform us of everyday news and are the best way of finding out information in society. They inform us in many different aspects including the business world, sports, crime, and many other things. Local newspapers also provide information and knowledge pertaining to the environment around us. There are though some downsides to newspapers. First, only literate people can read this form of media limiting the rest of society to non-written media. Second, newspapers tend to add their own persuasive view on certain aspects.
When it comes to finding about the news of what’s going on in our world, we want details and facts. We want the juice of what’s actually going on. The debate between the efficiency of newspapers and TV news, TV news is a lot more effective.

Watching the news on TV is a lot easier for people to understand and is more convenient than reading it on paper. For the people who are always in a rush in the morning, it’s more convenient to turn on the TV and listen to what’s going on rather than trying to read a paper because it will only slow your task down. Also, for the people who don’t know how to read and for elders whose eyes don’t function properly, the TV is a better source of finding out the news. Not only can they watch, if their eyes are messed up, they can also listen. It doesn’t require any thinking or straining the eyes trying to read. It may actually be seen as very much relaxing. Newspapers, however, requires more thinking; it has very good sentence structure that may be hard to understand sometimes with the extensive vocabulary words.

TV news is more entertaining. The news casts are always bubbly and energetic while broadcasting which receives a positive perspective from the viewers which gives them higher ratings and more airtimes. When we watch the news on TV we get a better visual image of what’s going on. They show actual photos and footage of the story which produces emotion to the audience. Meanwhile, newspapers are straight up boring. These stories are printed out on grayish colored paper and the photos have limited color to them. A newspaper only shows maybe 1 or 2 photos per story that doesn’t give any type of emotion whatsoever.
100 Years of Bollywood

When Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian Cinema, released his epochal feature film Raja Harishchandra on 3rd May 1913, it is unlikely that either the exhibitors or the pioneer film maker realized they were unleashing a mass entertainment medium that would hold millions in sway for the next hundred years. It's a miracle that Indian cinema has withstood the test of time despite the vast cultural differences in the past 100 years.

Indian cinema has an identity that is very unique and unmatched. We have moved from the black and white silent films to 3D, but our cinema continues to retain its basic essence - to thrill. The silent era came to an end when Ardeshir Irani produced his first talkie, 'Alam Ara' in 1931. If Phalke was the father of Indian cinema, Irani was the father of the talkie. The talkies changed the face of Indian cinema. Apart from looks, the actors not only needed a commanding voice but also singing skills, as music became a defining element in Indian cinema.

50s and 60s were considered as the Golden Age of Indian cinema. Filmmakers like Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, Guru Dutt, Bimal Roy, Mehboob Khan, K Asif, Raj Kapoor, KV Reddy, L V Prasad and Ramu Kariat made waves in their respective film industries and they went on to make classics like Pather Panchali, Madhumati, Do Bheega Zameen, Shree 420, Awaara, Pyasa, Mother India, Mughal E Azam, Mayabazar and Chemmeen among many other films. The 70s completely changed the way films were made, especially in Hindi film industry. Changing social norms and changing economies influenced movies and the companies that made them. The narrative style changed. The story structure changed. Characters changed. Content changed. Masala films were the demand of the time.

The genre promised instant attraction and had great entertainment value. It was the age of the angry young man and Amitabh Bachchan rose to prominence thanks to the success of Sholay, Zanjeer and Deewar. While Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna, Jitendra and Dharmendra continued to bask in the glory of back to back hits, the actresses were not far behind. Right from the time of Savitri, Vyjayanthi Mala, Nargis, Waheeda Rahman and Sharmila Tagore to Sridevi, Rekha, Smita Patil, Hema Malini, several actresses became heartthrobs of the nation.

And then in 90's, it was a mixed genre of romantic, thrillers, action and comedy films. A stark upgrade can be seen on the canvas as technology gifted the industry Dolby digital sound effects, advanced special effects, choreography and international appeal. The development brought about investments from the corporate sector along with finer scripts and performances. It was time to shift focus to aesthetic appeal. And stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Rajnikanth, Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Chiranjeevi, Juhi Chawla and Hrithik Roshan began to explore ways to use new techniques to enrich Indian cinema with their performances.

Indian cinema, despite all its peculiarities, has been a reflection of the socio-economic, political and cultural changes that took place in the country. Here's hoping that Indian movies continue to entertain us the way they've been doing since 10 decades.

Why Social Media???

Social media is any website that allows social interaction. Social media is growing rapidly throughout the world. More adults and teenagers are joining sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter to interact with friends, family, and strangers. The introduction of social media has changed the world in many ways. It affects each individual in different ways. Today it can be used as a very helpful tool in changing a person’s life, but at the same time cause such conflicts which can negatively impact a person. While there are some negatives associated with social media, the positives in communication all around, has made the world stronger and a better place to live in.

Social media has many positive effects on the society. The introduction of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter have increased communication among individuals. These websites serve as an important medium, keeping individuals socially active. For example Facebook, allows people to communicate with each other, comment on people’s statuses, join different organizations, play games, and even instant message. This site allows for millions of people to keep in touch with each other, and ultimately acts as a source of entertainment. “Social media also allows contact with people from around the world.” (“ProCon”) Using these websites can also increase a person’s computer abilities. Using social media can also help people who have difficulty socializing in person. Sites like Facebook allow “People who have difficulty communicating in person feel more comfortable interacting via the internet” (“ProCon”). Since there is a screen rather than an actual person, people feel more protected and relaxed. This allows people to develop more confidence, and communicate their thoughts over the internet rather than confronting the situation. Social media can also be a huge help to a lot of teenagers. It helps them search careers and colleges that they could be interested in.

You can express yourself, showing off your favourite song lyrics or posting pictures of your new outfit. It is a lot harder to feel embarrassment over the internet than in person, so people find it easier to vent their feelings on sites like Facebook.

In fact, it has become so much a part of people's lives that you can learn someone's life story just by checking their page. Their friends, likes and dislikes, relationship status, phone number, address…everything.
CARTOONS & CHILDREN

Cartoon shows are neither good nor bad. From time to time there have been some good series like Madeline, Oswald, Noddy, Backyard Science, MAD, Mickey Mouse Club House. And some Hindi Indian Cartoons, which I would suggest are Gali Gali Sim Sim, Choota Bheem, Krishna, Ramayan and all Mythological stories. It helps improve vocabulary; it could be English or Hindi. It helps kids in analyzing situations. To understand how small little things are analyzed and then how small little decisions are taken by understanding what is right and wrong. It helps them understand different cultures, societies, people etc. There are so many shows, which are really educational, for all ages. And some programs show various Art and Craft activities, which can be actually utilized to put them to some creative work.

There are some really bad cartoons out there, which are a definite no-no for kids like Hagemaaro, ShinShan etc. The language used is awful. With the kids watching television all the time, their physical activities which can only be achieved by playing in a playground are not taken care of. Kids try to imitate what they see on television. Be it language or violence, they just want to behave like their "Super Hero". When parents continually leave their children to be entertained by the television it can have negative effects on child's mind because children are primarily proactive and like to be doing something. And one of the major concerns is the time kids spent in watching those cartoons.

Children have become much more interested in cartoons over many years and it has become a primary action to some lives. Typically, children begin watching cartoons on television at an early age of six months, and by the age two or three children become enthusiastic viewers. This has become a problem because too many children are watching too much television and the shows that they are watching have become violent and addictive. The Children who watch too much cartoons on television are more likely to have mental and emotional problems, along with brain and eye injuries and unexpectedly the risk of a physical problem increases.

New Technologies Decreasing Family Values

Technology in today's world offers a many ways to communicate effectively so that every member of a family can keep in touch. From text messaging, Skype, webcams, Facebook, Twitter and emails, the facilitation of communication has never been more available. However, there are times when the one-on-one communication between human beings falls through the cracks and technology can take control over a family.

With technology on the rise people have been spending more time checking their e-mails and less time keeping in touch with their family. The love is still there, but the appreciation of being together isn’t as strong as it use to be.
When messaging while driving became illegal because it was such a common cause for accidents, people should have realized how obsessive we’ve become to using our phones and computers. Watching T.V. use to be something special, it use to be a family event that happened once a night. Now people watch multiple shows everyday and it’s not special anymore and it’s definitely not the family event it once was.

People are spending less time together in person and are spending more time signed into Facebook updating their status. Sure Facebook helps people stay in touch, but when you are checking your page under the dinner table or under a desk in class you know that it’s consuming a lot of your time and attention.
People say that your family is always there for you. Some may say that’s not true and that their social networks are always there for them, but they are wrong. They are always there to be on their social network. You can’t replace the love of your family by having over thousand friends on Facebook. When it comes down to it, your best friends and your family are supporting you and they deserve to have your attention and time more than your electronic devices.

Music Rain Saree

Music plays a very beautiful role in our life. Bollywood always presented it very well. One thing I notice that the combination of music, rain and saree always made bollywood songs more attractive to audience. Here are some example which presented bollywood actresses very well with the combination of music, rain and saree.

Raveena Tondon’s “Tip Tip Barsa Pani” from film Mohara with Akshay Kumar. If one still watches or hear this song, many wild imaginations can be popped out in seconds. Raveena is still being remembered for her act in this song, and she still looks super-hot in her yellow wet saree.

Nargis and Raj Kapoor’s “Pyar hua iqraar hua hai” from film Shree 420. It is the iconic rain song, the lashing rain, the ineffectual umbrella and the couple conveniently snuggling under it.

This very beautiful and cute actress Sonali Bendre had set the screen on fire in her film 'Sarfarosh'. The song "jo haal dil ka" shows love and infatuation of the leading pair Sonali and Aamir Khan in the movie.

From the film Namak Halal starrer Smita Patil and Amitabh Bachchan “Aaj Rapat Jaiyo to Hame na uthayo” this song shows the romance between couple in rain. Smita Patil was looking sensous in it.

“Kante nahi katate hai din ye raat” from the film Mr. India starrer Sri Devi and Anil Kapoor. Sri Devi’s performance in the rain dance song “Kannte nahi Katate” has been rated as the sexiest ever in a bollywood song, in which she is seen drenched in a blue saree.

Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan starring song Zoobi Doobi from the film 3 Idiots, captures the light, fun mood that comes with the rain.

Well, how can we forget our Barbie doll Katrina Kaif? Among the other players, she had also joined the bandwagon and followed the successful rain dance tradition by wearing a wet yellow saree in the movie "De Dana Dan". She was looking extremely sensuous, where she was being paired again with Akshay Kumar here. Well, many compared the overall look of this song with Akshay-Raveena's 'Tip Tip Barsa Pani', but Katrina managed to raise that oomph with her seductiveness.

MEDIA

Media is the most powerful tool of communication. It helps promoting the right things on right time. It gives a real exposure to the mass audience about what is right or wrong. Even though media is linked with spreading fake news like a fire, but on the safe side, it helps a lot to inform us about the realities as well. The world is moving towards progress in every walk of life. But when we look towards societies, it feels as if some thing is still missing. Money, power, lust, etc., is the wish of every human being to attain. But we can't deny this fact that we all are bounded with loads of social problems, which are hard nuts to crack. Social issues are matters which directly or indirectly affect many or all members of a society and are considered to be problems, controversies related to moral values, or both. Social issues include poverty, violence, corruption, bribery, suppression of human rights, discrimination, and crime, killing in the name of honor, etc.

Media has a constructive role to play for the society. Today News Channels and even some Newspapers are mouthpiece of some social issues, which helps us to estimate the realities of lives. Media has played an important role in order to focus on the social issues in almost every era. It is the fact that in most of the eras, media were not being given free and fair chances to explore the issues of society more openly than it is being given now; but we can't deny this fact that the issues were always raised in order to provide justice to the people. Pakistani Media has expanded it's chain during this era, and many cases and issues were brought under one umbrella, which showcase us that even today, we are bounded in the barriers of loads of problems and issues, which is to be sought out. Now, the time has arrived, when we need to re-think about our attitudes towards society.

Media is important because it gives us some sense of being. We have a sense of being part of something greater then ourselves and that is why things like twitter and facebook are so popular because they make you feel that you are part of a wider community always interacting with each other.

Media is important with regards to gathering information. And the best part of today’s media is that it is instant and easy to access. Mobility is a fairly new way that media has an importance on society. We are now able to access, comment on and upload information instantly wherever we are through devices such as smartphones.
